Finance for Non Financial Professionals

At Future Finance Training we believe that everyone in a business should understand the fundamentals of what makes it tick. We therefore offer courses designed for people with no, or limited, knowledge of accounting, tax and finance – especially those whose role involves managing a budget, overseeing any income or expenditure, or making decisions that have financial implications.

Our courses can be tailored to every level of an organisation, including Board members, who would like to improve their ability to review, interpret and ultimately make decisions involving financial information.

Personalised training

We take two practical steps to ensure that our Finance for Non-Financial Professionals courses are tailored to your organisation’s unique needs. First, prior to the start of the course, we ask delegates to complete an anonymous online questionnaire about their perception of finance and the financial challenges they face at work. This then allows us to shape the content of the course accordingly. Second, we offer to incorporate your organisation’s own financial statements and management accounts into our course exercises so that delegates can immediately apply their training to their own situation.

“It was very easy to develop a bespoke course with Helen at Future Finance Training. We briefed them on our learning needs, and the Future Finance Training team prepared a proposal based on that brief. We then talked through the proposal and made some small adjustments to create a tailored course.
The training styles of both of the facilitators are extremely interactive, which means that delegates have a really useful experiential learning experience. Relevant handouts are provided so that delegates have a written reference throughout the program and are able to make a personalised set of notes. The exercises are very practical and relatable, with the topics discussed in plenary and then summarised by the facilitators to cement the learnings. As experienced trainers, they are able to sense the understanding in the room so that they can pace the program to the needs of the delegates.
As the courses were specifically tailored to our needs our team could immediately put their learnings into use. Our managers’ ability to understand financial reports, and work with financial tasks like forecasting and budgeting, has greatly improved.”

“The sessions have been one of the best – if not the best – training programme I have attended. For anyone in business who needs to understand what the “numbers” really mean this is essential training and for us, as a Plc Board, it was invaluable.”
